Berndorf's Belt-tracking Roller Offers Precision Down the Line
Berndorf Band Engineering introduced the bernmatic BTRV belt-tracking roller,
designed to improve product quality and provide precise belt tracking precision right down the line.
The Austrian-based company created the bernmatic system by creating a computer simulation of the tracking of any steel belt application to help create reliable and life-saving belt systems. An inductive sensor checks belt speed while an optical or mechanical belt edge sensor checks the actual belt edge position.
The belt-tracking roller comes with a touch panel that controls the functions while displaying the tracking history of the belt. It also includes leading automation components, which ensure that the bernmatic system can be linked to a super-ordinate control and visualization system within the plant. Recorded data and messages are displayed on the monitor and integrated into the system.
It also allows for easy integration into existing systems and better control of belt tracking independent of speed. Plus, its compact design makes for easy installation, start-up and maintenance.
The bernmatic belt-tracking roller is available for belt widths up to 5 meters and comes with an Underwiters Laboratory certification.
Berndorf's Belts Provide Endless Operation
Bakers and snack manufacturers seek continuous production cycles that yield a high output of quality products while reducing costs through minimal downtime and longer belt life.
That's why Berndorf Belt Technology recommends the CARBO 13 belt, which can accommodate operating temperatures up to 752°F because the steel goes through a complex heat treatment process to achieve the required tensile strength and surface composition. Plus, its dark black surface, acceptance of radiant heat, high thermal conductivity and low thermal expansion offer a reliable base for bakery products.
The Gilberts, Illinois.-based company's belts operate between two drums ensuring precise tracking and belt straightness, thus resulting in less downtime and belt damage, which is essential for bakers, snack manufacturers and OEM bake oven producers.
